TIMELESS BIKES. DESIGNED TO LAST A LIFETIME

Temple was inspired by the classic steel framed bikes that are still found on our streets today. We set out to emulate their dependable, timeless designs. Combining modern technology, craftsmanship and the finest materials, we’ve created our own range of bikes that will one day become vintage.

BUILT TO LAST - OUR PROCESS

Matt started Temple after spending his university years repairing vintage bikes from the 60’s to the 80’s. He grew to love their dependable and elegant designs, and so, in 2014, he saw the potential in creating something from scratch, and went about designing the perfect bike. He combined what he loved about vintage bikes with the advances in materials, manufacturing and technology that have since filtered into the bike world.

The result? A versatile range of bikes that each possess the timeless aesthetics of the old classics combined with brand new sustainable materials and technology that out-performs much of the competition.

Creating quality bikes is an international effort. We design, test and assemble all of our bikes here in Bristol, working with specialist suppliers from all over the world to bring together the finest components possible.

Our frames are made from traditional Reynolds Steel, a Birmingham based manufacturer who develop, design and make steel tubing. Reynolds is one of the oldest bicycle material companies in existence. They specialise in butted steel frame tubes, exclusively for the manufacturing of high quality bicycles.

The frames are fabricated in batches by our Taiwanese frame manufacturing partner who are known for their quality craftsmanship.

For our paints, we work with EQC in Cardiff who powder coat all our frames, giving them a protective finish and beautiful pastel tones that are really durable as well as beautiful. What makes our paint so hard wearing, is the powder coating process, that achieves a finish three times thicker than traditional painting methods.

Our highly skilled team of master bike builders are the backbone of Temple. They build each bike by hand in our Bristol workshop to incredibly exacting standards using only the highest quality components, ensuring the longevity of our products.

Everything we do involves producing bikes and products in a sustainable way, from the materials we use, the suppliers we work with and the processes we adopt.

We think a product should last a lifetime, so we make high-quality bikes that are easy to fix and maintain, with readily available spares to keep you moving...
