LONDON STORE MANAGER

Reporting to: Sales Manager
Hours: Full-time, including weekend work
Salary: £25 000 P/A (gross)

All our bikes are lightweight, durable and versatile. Most importantly, they are built to last. Based between Bristol and London, we sell our bikes online and at our premises in both cities.

We are looking to expand our company with friendly and approachable team members who are passionate about our products and who will help us to reimagine the way we travel and explore on two wheels.

 

YOUR ROLE:

Sat on the corner of Brick Lane is Temple Cycle’s flagship store. Strong management and leadership of the store ensure its ongoing success. The London Store manager is the face of Temple Cycles in the capital, and an essential link to Bristol HQ.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Store Operations:
- Organising stock on the shop floor and ensuring that the shopfront is well presented at all times
- Ensuring the cleanliness of all areas of the shop and maintenance of the demo fleet
- Communications with the landlord, utilities providers and Management staff about any issues that need resolving with regard to the physical shop space
- Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records
- Monitor spending and costs of the store and work with Management to meet budget requirements
- Communicate logistical information with Operational staff in Bristol
- Stock management
- To keep track of all stock in store and use operational software and process to maintain stock between the London Store and Bristol sites

Sales:
- Work with the Sales Manager to meet sales targets for in store sales
- Devise new strategies to enhance footfall and conversions of the store, and work with the Sales Manager to integrate these

Mechanical Duties:
- Complete bike assemblies and PDIs as needed
- Customer support
- Respond professionally and clearly with all in store Customer Support enquiries
- Work with the Customer Support team and Sales Manager to make continual improvements to the communications with customers

Staff Management:
- Creating rotas and ensuring the the store is staffed and managed appropriately at all times
- Ensuring that all staff have sufficient knowledge, training, and any physical tools available to carry out their roles
- Motivate the London Store Team to meet sales objectives set by Management
- Work with Management and London Store Team to meet demand, and make any new hires
- Health and safety
- Review, report and maintain all health and safety processes and procedures
- Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations, and that any hazards are correctly reported.

Reporting:
- Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the metrics relating to the London Store performance

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant retail experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Stock management and logistics experience
- Experience with bikes preferred but not essential
